The first-ever Red Bull Cerro Abajo stop in Stuttgart. 90,000 people in the city, five Propain riders on the course. Full creative freedom to capture the weekend however I saw fit.
The brief
Propain gave full creative freedom. No shot list, no storyboard. Capture the riders, the race, the weekend — however it felt right.
Our role
Camera on the ground throughout the weekend. Edit in the days after. One person, start to finish.
Deliverables
Urban downhill in the middle of Stuttgart. Red Bull built a course through the city streets and 90,000 people came to watch. Propain brought five riders and handed me a camera.
Full trust
The project came in with no brief attached. Propain trusted me to find the story on the ground. That kind of freedom is rare and it changes how you shoot. You stop thinking about coverage and start thinking about what actually matters.
The weekend
Felipe Agurto, Marco Lamaris, Phil Atwill, Soc Zotos and Levin Klausmann. Five riders on custom-built race bikes, a city course, and a crew that felt more like a group of friends than a race team. The race was part of it. The rest of the weekend was the film.
